Nothing But The Truth

nike skateScheduled for general release on November 23, Nothing But The Truth is Nike’s foray into total branded feature films. Described as ‘the script and director only skateboarding movie’, it tells the story of the Nike SB team on and off their boards. Each of the 12 pro and 4 amateur skaters have individually written, produced and starred in a film interpretation of their lives.

Filmed by Belgian director duo Lionel Goldstein and set to an original soundtrack by Mark Mothersbaugh, it looks a little bit Jackass; lots of stunts, lots of girls and some very bizarre personal experiences, however this apparently really is The Truth as seen through the eyes of Nike SB Pictures.

Nike AF1 25th anniversary reaches London

As part of Nike’s ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations they have launched a very limited edition range of crocodile-skin Air Force One trainers, retailing at £1,400. Unveiled this weekend at Niketown in London, the trainers are part of a series of 5 updated AF1 designs, each of which have been hand-crafted in Italy in the finest materials and with impeccable attention to detail.

However, the use of crocodile skin (and Anaconda which is used on another shoe in the range), has angered animal rights groups and, as Brand Republic reports, is bringing a new wave of negative press to the Nike brand.
